So deeply, deeply sad to learn of the passing of my friend Zulema Cusseaux. I first met Zulema in 1975 in New York as the correspondent for Blues & Soul magazine and we became instant friends. I have so many cherished memories of spending time with her over the few years that followed and we were briefly back in touch in the mid-90s when I was responsible for the reissue of "The Best Of Zulema" through Ichiban Soul Classics. I will be posting a tribute to her at SoulMusic.com. May she rest in peace after several decades of personal challenges. Meanwhile, in memory, this YouTube video.
What's In It For Me"...
David Nathan a écrit :Now at SoulMusic.com, my personal tribute to Zulema Cusseaux, who sadly passed away on September 30. One of the most underrated and amazing artists I ever had the privilege to know - and call a friend. Sadly missed. My gratitude to my friend Pierluigi Sakura Avorio for letting me know about Zulema's passing and Kevin Goins for sending me her obituary. http://www.soulmusic.com/ZulemaTribute
