Présentation
Destruction by the Nkengas originally hit streets in 1973, overflowing with heavy Afro-beat, Afro-rock, and gritty highlife. Few copies were pressed, and today it can take months of searching to find a copy of this coveted gem. It came about during Osita Osadebe and His Nigeria Sound Makers’s UK tour. Financial hardship led members of the Nigeria Sound Makers to break off and form another group while in London, the Nkengas.
Next, the Nkengas were introduced to Jamaican born Sonny Roberts, well known in London for his ORBITONE RECORD store and label. After the recording sessions, the band returned to Nigeria and became known as the Ikenga Super Stars of Africa, finding much success in West Africa. Despite their later popularity, the heights of funky rawness in this early effort were seldom duplicated.
Working in coordination with ORBITONE RECORDS and the leader of the Nkengas, Chief Vincent Okoroego, we are proud to present the first ever reissue of this funky rarity. Available on CD and vinyl, each contains detailed liner note inserts with never before seen photos. As always, the LP version includes a free digital download of the entire album and the CD version comes in a premium digipack. Source : - http://secretstashrecords.com/store/destruction/

Afrobeat, avec 4 titres qui me semblent bien teintés de Funk (enfin j'espère ne pas me tromper).

- "Destruction" (B4)
- "Jack Jones"(uniquement sur le 45T en face A)
J'avais fait la pré-commande et j'ai reçu ce mail il y a 4 jours :
"Thank you for ordering the limited edition version of Nkengas. You
selected International Economy shipping and we grouped all of the
International economy orders together and sent them to our mail
forwarder in New York on May 10. The UPS tracking online confirmed that
all three bulk packages containing LP mailers were delivered on May 15,
and from there the LP mailers were sent out of the US.
By last week we had received several emails from customers asking for
shipping updates, so I followed up with our mail forwarder to get more
details. I found out on Thursday night that though UPS reported
delivering all packages, only one of the packages was actually delivered
on May 15. I have opened a package tracer request with UPS and we are
working on getting everything sorted out. We would like to apologize to
those that are affected and I will be in contact soon with more updates
on your package. We will also put together some kind of special
deal/refund for those that are affected.

Hey Girl You've Won My Heart :love1: : complainte exposée par des voix superbes, même le falsetto me tient le cœur, et une fin toute en force. De quoi craquer, c'est beau. :love1:
