J'ai mis cet album dans la rubrique jazz-funk mais il dépasse largement ce genre. Avec Michel Portal et son style éclectique, accompagné de Tony Hymas (clavieriste de Jeff Beck), Sonny Thompson et Michael Bland (basse et batterie de Prince and the New Power Generation), on a même droit à la guitare de Vernon Reid sur certains titres.
Cet album est donc un cocktail mêlant groove puissant, solo à tendance free et beaucoup de choses encore... Il est très difficile d'y mettre une étiquette.
L'album fut réalisé en 2001. Il est dédié a cette ville de Minneapolis d’où viennent Tony Hymas, Sonny et Michael.
