Keith 'Sabu' Crier du groupe GQ est parti grossir les membres du super groupe dans les cieux...

"I am sad to say that my musical brother and fellow GQ band mate Keith "Sabu" Crier has passed away. He was an innovator. His unique style bass Playing on songs like DISCO NIGHTS....STANDING OVATION and so many more hits changed R&B music forever. We traveled the world together and brought Music & Happiness to every place we went. Sabu is gone..... but the music we made will go on forever. i am proud to have known and performed with him. We are links in the chain that is R&B music.... rest in peace my brother..... PPD ( Steve Adorno )"

Keith est le bassiste (sur la vidéo)... le groupe avait commencé sous le nom de "Sabu & the Survivors" en 68 avant de se transformer en The Rhythm Makers (superbe LP sur Vigor) et évoluer plus tard en GQ (nom d'un fameux magazine de mode américain), nom sous lequel ils connaîtront leur plus grand hit (voir vidéo ci-dessus)
