Au nom de famille j'ai failli le confondre avec un des Calloway Brothers qui sévissait au sein de Midnight Star...

Un peu plus loin il narre l'enregistrement de son premier LP avec KAY-DEE Records...

"Rickey Calloway is working on his first full lenth album for Kay-Dee Records featuring some of his new music written and arranged by him and produced by Dope & Gabe Daptone Recording. When I was in New York two years ago Producer for Kay-Dee paid for the plane ticket and hotel for me. I couldn't believe it. I walk in the famous and legendary Recording Studio and met with the members of the Dapkings band. I was nervis wondering if I would good enough to play with this great band. They welcome me with open arms. I have to tell you as we recorded the first track of my upcoming album I close my eyes and thought I was recording with the JBs. The Dapkings are the tightest Band I have ever worked with in my life. They worked as a team. I also did another track with the band, a tight JB thing I call {Jump on the Groove.} With Producer, Kenny Dope and Keb Darge. "

Ah je sentais bien quelque chose comme les Dap-Kings pour envoyer du son comme çà... çà promet pour le reste!!!
