Miami soul au top ! Sorti sur le label floridien Gem en 1969, un obscur single qui est connu des break-diggers par son intro (Grey Boy) samplée par le californien DJ Shadow (interlude 6 sur Endtroducing). Deux faces instrumentales dans un style très garage. Stooone groove...
Une petite bio du groupe d'après le saxophoniste (je pense que la source est sûre, je l'avais contacté pour avoir confirmation):
"Yo. This band started in Miami, Florida. The Human Race was formerly known as the Miami Soul Review. Band was Michael Edell (sax, aka Grey Boy), Ronnie Wernecki (bass), Ernie Wernecki (guitar, of Cornelius Brothers) Alfonse Kettner (guitar, Bobby Caldwell), Ty Walton (drums, the Packers) and Ricky Hill (trumpet). They were the house band at the Continental Club (1966-69) located in the heart of Liberty City. I know this because I was the sax player on this cut".
