My buddy Johnny Guitar Watson and me, two funky brothers. (smile) Why I was mixing down 'Pall Mall Groove' at Paramound Recording Studio in February of 1977 Johnny was recording 'A Real Mother For Ya' in the next room! I think I was one of the closest friends of him, his mom Wilma was my mom in LA as well and I was there at his funeral where is laying at the Mausoleum in Glandale, CA together with Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson. Rest In Peace Brother!
PS : I got a lot of stories with Johnny and me. I am also on his A&M album That's What Time It Is.

"I was right there when it was recorded too, just like all the DJM and after recordings of JGW. Emery Thomas girlfriend used to be Ola Ray, the girl in Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video"

Un must have !
