C'est un album fait pour danser, transpirer, s'éclater, se lâcher. Tout de même un slow "I Gotta Thing For You" (B2), il faut le dire vite car le tempo s'accélère vers la fin et la tournure me prend le cerveau de plaisir.
L'interminable et obsédant "Man With The Band" (A1) :weeeehhh: : une pure invention pour forcer l'humain à se bouger le corps sans raison et en tout lieu. Cela continue avec l'affolant "Master Booty" (A2) :youououh: dont la répétition du refrain crée un état de semi transe, suivi d'une intro pure esprit 'P', le sensationnel "Funk Backin'" (A3) :ufo: et le mouvement corporel se perpétue, s'intensifie.
"Midnight Freak" (B3) :weeeehhh: : ronflant, entrainant, prenant, limite entêtant, un Disco Funk qui dégage beaucoup de sensualité.

Le titre qui m'a le moins accrochée "Mile High" (B1), c'est dire que cet album est du pur Fatback, en un mot : FUNK !!!!!!!! :afro:

Premier album signé Fatback (le "Band" a disparu). Bon LP où je retiens la ligne de basse hallucinée de "Midnight Freak" et l'interminable groove de "The Man With The Band".

Réédité en CD en effet par Ace Records au début des 90's... Et que je me suis procuré pour quelques petits euros il n'y a pas si longtemps accompagné de 5 autres albums des Fatback, période ultra prolifique, de 1975 à 1978...
Un seul regret, malgré le très faible prix de ces réeds CD, pas de remasterisation et un livret ultra indigent... Enfin bref du CD début 90's pur jus et qui a mal vieilli...

Bon album d'un groupe qui est probablement l'un des plus prolifiques dans le genre soul/funk... Il faudrait que je compte tous ceux qu'ils ont fait...! :old:
