Avec une telle pochette, vous serez certainement d'accord avec moi, on ressent l'envie d'y jeter une oreille, à raison.
Sans doute le meilleur album du monsieur en ce qui nous concerne, contenant 3 killer jazz-funk tracks super vitaminés ; The Genie, Magic Ride et Mother Nile. Les autres pistes sont d'ordre jazz-funk "smooth", un vocal funk et instrumental solo piano pour clore l'opus. Le tout est de bonne facture.
Malgré quelques moments où la sauce retombe à l'instar des albums jazz-funk qui ne sont pas intégralement jazz-funk ( ), l'album s'écoute vraiment bien. À mon sens, il a indiscutablement sa place dans toute discothèque jazz-funk. Qu'en pensez-vous?
